The Heat Load Calculator is an estimation program written by temperzone to simplify the task of selecting the appropriate size air conditioning system. It is based on the AREMA air conditioning survey form prepared in association with CSIRO in Australia.

It includes both Residential and Commercial design temperatures for different locations throughout New Zealand. This data was supplied by NIWA. If your project's location is not listed in the program, you can select 'Other' as the location and set your own parameters.

The program provides an inexpensive tool that can be used as an alternative to much more detailed, more precise and more expensive programs available elsewhere. If your application has special characteristics, they may be beyond the scope of this program.
