Story: The Novotel is situated within walking distance of the Auckland International Airport serving a clientele of air crew, transit passengers, short stay business travellers and tourists. Because of the proximity to the airport low sound levels were critical to the design with all rooms double-glazed. The low noise requirement extended to the air-condtioning fan coil units.Temperzone addressed the issue by applying EC motors to the fan coils providing both super quiet operation and high efficiency.
