NEW TEST ROOMS

Temperzone has recently extended its research laboratory capabilities with the opening of its newest Test Rooms at its Auckland manufacturing site.

At 488 cubic metres volume the facility is probably the largest air conditioner test room in the Southern Hemisphere. The facility is designed to produce results that are accepted by Australian regulators for M.E.P.S. registration purposes (refer www.energyrating.gov.au).

While most Australasian air conditioning manufacturers and distributors are reliant on using other organisations test facilities (eg. universities), Temperzone is capable of doing all its testing in-house, which saves time and money.

The newest test rooms were built, at a cost of around NZ$300,000, to carry out air enthalpy testing on units up to 2.2 m high by 2.6 m wide at ambient conditions ranging from -15°C to 60°C. Components, products under development and finished products can be accurately tested in these rooms for their duty and operating parameters.

These new rooms are in addition to the existing test facility. That facility already includes a reverberant room which allows temperzone to conduct its own noise level measurements.

Customers can have confidence that what they are buying has been thoroughly tested to meet Australasian standards.
